The Historic Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 40-Year Recertification

The SEOPW CRA Board of Commissioners approved a $350,000 grant to facilitate the extensive structural repairs required for the 40-year recertification of this landmark institution. The successfully completed scope of work included the complete replacement of the building's signature barrel-tile roof, meticulous structural column reconstruction, and targeted repairs to address deteriorating concrete. Additionally, the project resolved severe water intrusion with central sanctuary leak repairs and a full replacement of the damaged interior ceilings.
