Program Overview
The SEOPW CRA Board of Commissioners approved additional funding for the complete renovation of a two-story rooming house at 241 NW 17th Street, which currently contains 23 single rooms and five shared bathrooms. The Sir John Guest House will be an all-inclusive, "flat rate" housing facility, providing low-income residents with affordable, secure, safe, clean, and private living spaces in Historic Overtown. A total grant of $950,000 will be allocated to fully rehabilitate both the interior and exterior of the building.
