Welcome to Historic Overtown LED Sign

The SEOPW CRA successfully installed a landmark monument sign at a major entrance gateway to the neighborhood, positioned along the NW 3rd Avenue business corridor adjacent to the Interstate 95 entrance ramp. Built from high-quality stone and granite, the structure features the prominent phrase "Welcome to Historic Overtown" and is equipped with external lighting to ensure maximum visibility at night. The monument also integrates a full-color, programmable LED electronic panel used to display real-time neighborhood updates, community events, and public information. This gateway project was backed by a CRA board resolution authorizing $120,000 to cover the complete design, permitting, installation, and ongoing maintenance of the structure and its surrounding landscaping.
